The Pascua Yaqui Bar Association (PYBA) was incorporated as a Pascua Yaqui non-profit corporation in 2009. The Judges recognized the need for a properly organized bar association to regulate the practice of law on the Pascua Yaqui Reservation. Currently the PYBA, Inc. membership totals more than 150 members, including regular, inactive and judicial status members. The PYBA’s members consist of attorneys licensed and in good standing in many different states and other jurisidictions as well as tribal court advocates, non-law school but otherwise legally trained individuals, as authorized by the Pascua Yaqui Code. The Pascua Yaqui Bar Association, Inc. is always looking for hard working, innovative legal professionals who enjoy working with the Yaqui people and making positive contributions to the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
